Yoga Escape
About us
We run small yoga retreats in places made for retreat — in the mountains, with time for practice, quiet and nature. Sessions are in English; the organiser also speaks Ukrainian and Russian.

Your teacher
Regina Rainskaya
Yoga teacher · Philosopher · Researcher · Retreat guide
Regina has been practising meditation since the age of twelve and has been practising and teaching yoga for more than twenty years. For her, yoga has long been more than a physical discipline: a way of understanding the human being, exploring consciousness and moving through life with greater awareness.
Her teaching brings together yoga, meditation, breathwork, philosophy, ritual, contemplative practice and a deep connection with nature.
Education and certificates
- Diploma in Philosophy (qualification: philosopher), Dnipropetrovsk National University, 2008
- 200-hour yoga teacher training (TTC 200 h), Tapasya Yoga School, 2021

A philosopher at heart
Before yoga became her profession, Regina studied philosophy and went on to postgraduate research into how our understanding of Absolute Truth changes across spiritual and philosophical traditions. She completed her doctoral research on the subject but chose not to defend it. Philosophy is still a living inquiry for her: questioning assumptions, comparing traditions and searching for what stays essential beneath cultural forms.

A life of exploration
Regina does not just read about other ways of living — she tries them. She lived in an ecological community, baked bread at festivals, and later moved alone to the Carpathian Mountains, where she began running small retreats every other weekend: yoga, meditation, philosophy and nature. That is where her view of retreat work comes from: not a holiday or a set of yoga classes, but a temporary step out of ordinary life, where something inside us has a chance to change.

Following the sacred
Travel is another form of research for Regina. She has lived for long periods in India and Sri Lanka and travelled through Peru and the Himalayas — drawn to temples, pilgrimage routes, mountains and places of power, and to the stories, rituals and myths they hold.

Yoga as self-discovery
After more than two decades of practice, her teaching is a meeting point between traditional yogic wisdom and a contemporary exploration of consciousness. She approaches yoga not as a fixed system but as a living path. Her intention is not to tell people who they should become, but to create the conditions in which they can listen more deeply to themselves.

Today
Regina is based in Barcelona, where she teaches yoga and creates retreats and journeys. Under the name Sacred Journey she brings together yoga, philosophy, travel, pilgrimage and nature.
Every journey is a form of research. Every sacred place is a teacher.
